iOS, Android, Kindle Fire app prices reduced by more than 50 percent!

For various device platforms, pricing of the Smart-Link Mobile app has been reduced as follows:

  • Snap-Link Mobile for iOS devices has been reduced from $49.99 to $24.95
  • Snap-Link Mobile for Android devices has been reduced from $49.99 to $19.99
  • Snap-Link Mobile for Kindle Fire e-readers has been reduced from $49.99 to $19.99

Winning the App War with Cross-Platform Consistency

From Residential Systems magazine (April edition):

The first smartphone app for HAI by Leviton was developed for Windows phones in 2008, and the company’s series of app designs have run the gamut from the old Philips Pronto remote to the latest e-readers. Director of marketing Greg Rhoades said that adapting to a variety of interfaces has been a huge challenge.

“Before, we would create one interface design, and we knew exactly where it would go–our 3.9-inch touchscreen,” he explained. “We knew the exact constraints for resolutions and the physical capabilities of the hardware. Now, everything has to be adaptive, whether you’re using the app on the iPad mini, a full iPad, or an iPod touch, it should have a similar, yet scaled, appearance.”

Rhoades, from HAI by Leviton, said that the biggest outside influence is the mere ubiquity of apps in the world. “Now, everyone has a touchscreen in their car dashboard, in their pocket, in their purse, on their TV remote,” he said. “Consumers now expect a dynamic design with complete functionality and have plenty of comparisons around them 24/7.”

HAI by Leviton’s annual Five-Star Dealer program was initiated in 2001 to recognize and reward select outstanding dealers.

Recipients are selected based on various criteria including the number of years the dealer has been installing HAI by Leviton solutions, the number of systems installed in the previous year and unique marketing or programming solutions that involve HAI by Leviton products.

HAI Inside a 3-Story Nightclub, Art Gallery, and Tattoo Parlor

DALLAS, TX: The owner of this three story building wanted a clear and easy way to control the security within his nightclub, art gallery, and tattoo parlor. Three areas are secured with one alarm, operating as one system, and controlled from an iPhone. Each floor is restricted with access codes.

The next phase includes linking in more thermostats and all exterior lighting, plus the ability to control access to specific rooms.
